Dr Jenna Fukushima is originally from Grande Prairie, Alberta. She received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Victoria and her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. She practiced in Seattle for 6 years specializing in Pediatrics, Neonates, Cataracts and Oculoplastic Surgery. She was well regarded in the Seattle community earning accolades for her quality and patient centered care.
Dr Fukushima returned to Canada to start a family. They are very happy to call Victoria home.
In addition to practicing optometry, Dr Fukushima was the chief lead on volunteer eye care missions to Jamaica, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico providing free eye exams and eye glasses to those in need.
Outside of work, she is passionate about adventure, the outdoors and travel. She especially enjoys wildlife and natural landscapes.
Dr Fukushima’s engaging personal style enables her to interact effectively between the patients and the surgeons to help establish their healthcare goals and needs.
